Bungala I & II Solar Farm, SA

The 275MW Bungala Solar Farm is the largest solar farm in South Australia. The project commenced construction in 2017 and was installed in two stages. The project is currently producing approximately 285,000 GWh of energy per year. The Operations & Maintenance was completed for 5 years following the completion of the project.

Barcaldine Solar Farm, QLD

Commencing construction in 2015, the 25MW Barcaldine Solar Farm was both developed and constructed by Elecnor Australia. A grant from the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) was received, and developed a strong relationship with the Clean Energy Finance Corporation (CEFC). Though this is the only project Elecnor developed in Australia, the experience allowed us invaluable insight on the challenges of developing a project in the Australian market.

Moree Solar Farm, NSW

Moree Solar Farm commenced construction in 2014 and was Elecnor Australia’s flagship project. The 72MW project was completed near Moree, in New South Wales, and included a 33/66kV substation and 7 kilometres of overhead transmission lines. This project was the first in Australia to utilise single-axis tracking system. The project completed construction in early 2016 and is approximately generating 155,000 GWh of energy per year. Elecnor also completed the Operations & Maintenance works for the solar farm and substation for the full defect liability period.
